Back to work

Since I need to diet too, I'm going to post daily for a while.

Breakfast: 9am

I didn't have any food this morning and I try not to do that, but after my long weekend, I didn't have any produce in the house and slept in a little this morning. I only realized tonight that I could have had some banana nut bread that Rock left here. I did have some coffee at work and the picture above is what I put into my coffee. My nutritionist would rather have me use two sugars and no artificial sweetener at all, but I didn't like the taste of that as much.

Lunch: 11am

Spinach salad with flatbread. The VBCA cafeteria has great flatbread. I tried to get more of the other stuff in the salad to show up. I had some grape tomatoes, boiled egg whites with some of the yolks, but mostly whites, 1-2oz of salmon, and honey mustard dressing. I went a little heavy on the dressing today. I should use the little containers instead. I also had another cup of coffee after lunch.

Snack: 3pm

Banana and organic string cheese, pretty standard too.

Dinner: 8-9pm

I started with some olives, which are counted as a fat.


Later, I had a spinach and feta salmon roll and some green beans. I realized this weekend that I could get frozen vegetables. Tonight, I realized that while I don't necessarily enjoy vegetables, I should be responsible and eat them with dinner anyway. I think this project can help make me more of a grown-up with my dinners. I made two servings of beans. I finished my plate, but was very full at the end. The beans were very filling, so next time, I will go with a smaller protein item.
